First Athlete Training Center

Sperides Reiners Architects worked with Minnesota Made Hockey to develop a design for this one of a kind training facility. While the facility is dedicated to training hockey players; athletes of all sports are finding the large open field surface and world class weight training area a great place to train. This project was an adaptive reuse of an existing electrical supply warehouse and with the 18 foot clear ceiling height the space was deemed conducive for the training center. This 18,000 square foot facility includes weight training, cardio training, skating treadmills, and hockey shooting training area. Additionally, the 60’ x 112’ field serves a multi-sport function. First Athlete promotes a training staff that can help athletes of all ages to train for their next level.
